## Description

Guardian Angels is a renowned brand that offers a range of products and services focused on safety, community engagement, and crime prevention. Founded by Curtis Sliwa in the late 1970s, Guardian Angels originated from a group called the Rock Brigade whose mission was to clean up neglected areas of New York City. Curtis Sliwa's recognition of the city's other needs led him and his volunteers to retool their efforts towards crime fighting, particularly in the subway system. Wearing their distinctive red-berets, the volunteer group, known as The Magnificent Thirteen, patrolled the subway, providing a visible deterrent to illegal activities and assisting in detaining criminals for the police. Their heroic deeds gained widespread recognition, prompting the birth of the Guardian Angels on February 13, 1979. Since then, Guardian Angels has become a globally recognized icon for safety, known for its dedication to protecting communities. They offer safety patrols, animal protection services, and various programs like Junior Angels and GA Watch. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Guardian Angels continues to foster community pride and civic-mindedness, making a positive impact through their selfless efforts.
