## Description

Gunnerside is a dedicated online resource focused on the rich history and heritage of Upper Swaledale, covering areas from Healaugh to Tan Hill. The brand is spearheaded by a passionate team comprising Lesley Close, who specializes in editing and photography, alongside her partner Michael Connolley, responsible for design and maintenance, and Michael's sister Cathy Connolley, who contributes to research and photography. Gunnerside aims to provide a platform for sharing information, records, photographs, and stories, encouraging visitors to connect and contribute their own insights. The website features a new message board for users to post and answer queries related to local history. To support the continuous growth and operational costs of the site, Google ads have been incorporated, strategically placed to ensure relevance without being intrusive. Gunnerside remains committed to accuracy while recognizing the challenges of deciphering old records, inviting users to always refer back to original sources for validation.
