Launched in 2009, the IndIGO Consortium has been at the forefront of developing a comprehensive roadmap for gravitational-wave research, aiming for India's active participation in the global gravitational-wave community. Central to their efforts is the LIGO-India project, which plans to construct an advanced gravitational-wave detector on Indian soil, in collaboration with the LIGO project in the USA and its international partners. IndIGO not only focuses on the technical and theoretical aspects of gravitational-wave detection but also emphasizes education and research, offering summer fellowships in partnership with Caltech to nurture talented Indian undergraduate students. With gravitational waves being key to understanding the universe, IndIGO is committed to enhancing India’s role in this transformative field of astrophysics, positioning itself as an essential player in the international scientific landscape. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Astronomy _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Physics _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idrOnuBsFZ/w/273/h/110/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1734623187555) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Electric Violet | #4b27fd | accent | | Black | #000000 | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - georgia — asset _(custom)_ - arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
