## Description

Global Weather & EAS Society (GWES) is a renowned organization founded on Facebook in August 2015. Initially known as the Weather and EAS Community 2015 (WEC15), it evolved into the International Weather and EAS Aficionados (IWEA) before adopting its current identity in 2017. With nearly 1,000 members globally, GWES offers a plethora of services, including forecasting products, EAS/NPAS support, and extensive weather information. The organization also operates the EAS Relay Network (GWES ERN) and hosts an informative podcast. Recently, GWES revamped its leadership structure, embraced new branding, and expanded its reach to Mastodon and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet. Acquiring the Nationwide Encoder Relay Program (NERP) in 2024, GWES continues to innovate the world of weather and EAS broadcasting. Join GWES today to engage in lively discussions and stay informed about the latest developments in the field.
