Gyanankur School is a Maharashtra State board school that offers education from Nursery to Standard 10 (SSC Secondary School Certificate). With seven years of successful standard ten students passing out, many of them have gone on to secure college admissions and good jobs. Our school focuses on teaching children to think independently and building their confidence through participation in various activities such as assemblies, competitions, and sports.

We have a dedicated staff who receive ongoing teacher development to continuously uphold our vision and values. Currently, we are facing challenges with repairs and lack of space. However, we are excited about our upcoming move to a new structure on newly donated land nearby.

This will allow us to expand our facilities by adding classrooms, science and skill labs, and sports opportunities. Our aim is to extend our reach and provide more opportunities to our students. Gyanankur School was founded in 2004 by Mr.

Argemiro Fernandes, a philanthropist, in response to the need for quality English-medium education in Kesnand village. His vision was to break the barrier preventing children from accessing future opportunities. The school is managed by the Resurrection Education Society (RES), with a committed board of individuals who are inspired by Biblical values and passionate about promoting quality education for the poor.

With a strong emphasis on our Christian faith, we strive to create a school environment marked by joy, service, transparency, and dignity for all.

In addition to our regular academic programs, we also offer teacher training and mentoring to grassroots teachers in innovative approaches. We welcome children who have missed out on years of education and provide a Grade Skipping program to help them catch up with their peers. In the future, we plan to start a National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Centre to provide alternative forms of education and expand to Standard 11 and 12, offering pathways to other skills training relevant to our students.
