Gyaw Gyaw is a socially-conscious organization founded in 2009 by Line Ramstad and her local colleagues in the remote Karen village of Noh Bo. Initially part of a Norwegian architectural project, Gyaw Gyaw has since evolved into a democratically run entity, spearheading over 80 local projects. The Karen people, known as the easy people, inhabit the area along the Thai-Burmese border, referred to as the land without evil. Gyaw Gyaw's work is rooted in the belief that architecture plays a vital role in the developing world. Despite the challenges faced by the Karen people, Gyaw Gyaw remains committed to making a positive impact in the community.
