## Description

The Gypsy Quilter is an American brand of innovative tools and supplies for quilting, sewing, and crafts. Founded in 2007 by Lanette Edens in Savannah, Georgia, the company began with an idea for a gripping tool to help hold a ruler securely while cutting fabric with a rotary cutter. Its first product, the Gypsy Gripper, was introduced later that year. Since then, the brand has developed a range of creative, practical products intended to make sewing and quilting easier, faster, and more productive. Its offerings are organized into notions, Stitcher Series products, and supplies, with items including the Gypsy Gripper and Gypsy Sit Upon. Many products feature the company’s signature purple color, which customers have come to call “The Purple Line.” Purchased by Rob Krieger in 2013, the company relocated to Maumee, Ohio, while Edens continued as a new-product consultant. The Gypsy Quilter products are sold through independent retailers worldwide, and shoppers can use the brand’s store-finding feature to locate a nearby quilt shop.
