## Description

Hoodx402 is an independent infrastructure project building a payment rail for AI agents to access APIs, data, and task-based services on Robinhood Chain. It uses the x402 payment standard: when an agent makes a request, a provider can return an HTTP 402 response with the price and payment terms. After the agent authorizes payment, Hoodx402’s facilitator verifies and settles it on-chain in USDG, allowing the request to complete with a 200 response and a durable receipt. The project offers an SDK for adding per-call payments to existing endpoints, a public facilitator, an on-chain endpoint registry, and tools for both API providers and agents. Providers set their own prices, while the rail handles verification and settlement without requiring them to manage a merchant stack or hold payment keys. Hoodx402 is currently focused on Robinhood Chain testnet, with a partner pilot underway and mainnet access planned after an independent review and further operational preparation. Its roadmap also lists cbBTC support via Chainlink CCIP as planned.
