## Description

The Underground Future Lab, operated by Hagerbach Test Gallery Ltd. in Flums, Switzerland, is an underground research and innovation facility with more than 50 years of experience. Its network includes around five kilometres of tunnels and 25,000 square metres of laboratories, caverns, test fields, training rooms and other infrastructure. The facility works with researchers, universities and industry to develop, prototype and test solutions under controlled, repeatable conditions, supporting projects from early research through full-scale validation. Its research areas include energy solutions, smart cities, space habitats and safety, and heavy construction and operations. The team also helps partners shape research ideas, find collaborators and prepare funding proposals. Beyond research and development, Hagerbach offers construction material testing, fire and safety training, professional education, nozzleman certification and specialist testing and consulting services. Its underground spaces are also available for seminars, corporate events, group activities, weddings and other gatherings, with catering and guided tours. Together, these services connect scientific research with practical applications, training and public engagement.
