# Halal Monitoring Committee - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `halalhmc.org` ## Description Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC) is an independent, not-for-profit, registered charity dedicated to ensuring that Muslims have confidence in the Halal products they use and consume. HMC's main goal is to certify and monitor Halal food, promoting animal welfare, food safety, hygiene, and quality in accordance with UK Law and Islamic teachings. HMC works with companies involved in Halal food production and supply to certify all their products, providing assurance to the Muslim community that the food meets the highest Halal standards. They offer a range of services, including certifying shops, schools, abattoirs, and non-meat products, allowing individuals and businesses to become HMC certified. In addition to certification, HMC provides valuable resources, including learning materials and videos, to educate people about what makes food Halal or Haram. They also offer an online payment service, allowing users to set up direct debits or make one-off payments to HMC. With a comprehensive network of HMC certified members, including butchers, caterers, takeaway restaurants, dessert shops, and meat suppliers, HMC ensures that Muslims can easily find and support Halal establishments near them. The Halal Monitoring Committee is committed to its vision and mission of enabling all consumers to be confident in the genuine Halal status of the meat and products they purchase. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Faith and Beliefs _(under Community and Society)_ - 🍔 Food and Drink ## Links - [twitter](https://twitter.com/HMC_UK) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/HalalMonitoringCommittee) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/hmc_uk) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idj3qOZESP/w/300/h/300/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1781871559657) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idj3qOZESP/w/400/h/400/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1781871559740) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Tamarillo | #a21c19 | accent | | Black | #000000 | dark | | Contessa | #bf6361 | light | ## Fonts - Poppins — asset _(google)_ - Poppins — asset _(google)_ ## Imagery - banner _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idj3qOZESP/w/1500/h/500/idYgt5zZnf.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1781871559884) --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
