## Description

Half Guard Jiu-Jitsu Company is a Brazilian organization dedicated to developing and promoting Jiu-Jitsu through competitions and event services. Founded in 2015 by second-degree black belt instructor Daniel Pereira Gomes Smania, known as Palhuca, the company initially made kimonos for children in his social project. In 2018, it shifted its focus to organizing Jiu-Jitsu events, responding to the need for better-run competitions in southern Santa Catarina.

Half Guard produces events such as Desafio Half Guard, featuring invited matchups, cash prizes, and live broadcasts, and the Circuito Half Guard. It also provides event structure rental and assembly services for federations and private organizers. The company reports organizing more than 80 Jiu-Jitsu events and awarding over 200,000 Brazilian reais in prize money. Its events have included state and national championships, cups, and regional circuits across Santa Catarina and beyond, including São Paulo and areas near Argentina and Uruguay. Half Guard also provides federation information, event listings, rankings, a photo gallery, and news for the Jiu-Jitsu community.
