## Description

Hallmark Heritage Society is a membership-driven organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the architectural, natural, cultural, and horticultural heritage of Greater Victoria, British Columbia. Through advocacy, research, and public engagement, it promotes understanding of the value of heritage conservation and works with the community and all levels of government to support preservation.

The Society collects and shares information on heritage preservation, conservation, and restoration, while maintaining an expanding archive of the region’s historic architecture. Its online resources include records on more than 3,500 buildings, many available in digitized form, alongside photographs, historical articles, videos, and information about notable places and local history. The Society also provides access to a photographic archive featuring images of Greater Victoria buildings, including some dating back more than 60 years.

Hallmark offers opportunities to get involved through membership, donations, newsletters, events, and educational initiatives such as the Craigflower Schoolhouse Student Heritage Fair. Its resources help residents and visitors explore Victoria’s landmarks, discover lesser-known sites, and learn the stories behind the city’s historic buildings and streets.
