## Description

Halswell Quarry Preschool is a locally owned and operated early learning centre offering a welcoming, home-away-from-home environment for children and families. Its approach centres on curiosity, creativity, discovery and play, with the natural environment incorporated throughout the centre. Children can explore spacious learning rooms, a central rainforest, outdoor areas with grass and trees, water play, tunnels, heights and sensory caves, as well as loose parts for imaginative play.

The preschool enriches learning with real-life experiences, including visits from guests and trips to nearby parks and farmland. Extra-curricular activities include sports, outdoor cooking, music and dance, yoga, mindfulness and a transition-to-school programme. Enrolling families can receive in-home visits, while online daily reflections share photographs and narratives about children’s experiences. Termly performance evenings invite families to celebrate and take part in children’s learning. An on-site chef prepares meals for the children. Halswell Quarry Preschool is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and offers 20 Hours ECE.
