Hamilton Arts Council is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to strengthening the role of arts and culture in the City of Hamilton. They strive to make the arts accessible and relevant to the entire community. With a vision of a dynamic arts community that is innovative, impactful, diverse, and professionally sustainable, Hamilton Arts Council serves artists, art lovers, and arts organizations across the Greater Hamilton Area since 1969. They offer a wide range of programs and services, including the Artist in Residence program, Arts Week, BIPOC Music Series, BIPOC Dance Series, Building Cultural Legacies, Celebrate Resilience in the Arts, Nordic Exchange, Literary Awards, and Professional Development. Hamilton Arts Council embraces a diverse arts community that includes Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, Deaf individuals, persons with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, Francophones, youth, and LGBTQ2S+ members.
