## Description

Trygve Hammer is a dedicated candidate representing North Dakota with a rich background in military service, education, and community engagement. After growing up in North Dakota and graduating from Velva High School, he enlisted in the Navy, excelling in the Nuclear Power program and earning a spot at the U.S. Naval Academy. Choosing to serve in the Marine Corps, Trygve has held various roles, including helicopter pilot and forward air controller, culminating in a successful military career that concluded with his retirement as a major.

Post-military, he returned to North Dakota where he has contributed to the community as a science teacher, roughneck on oil rigs, and freight rail conductor. Currently employed as a counselor for Job Corps in Minot, Trygve is committed to empowering youth as they embark on their professional journeys. Running for Congress, he advocates for pro-worker, pro-choice, and pro-democracy initiatives, dedicated to putting government back to work for the people of North Dakota.
