Ma Ka Hana Ka 'Ike is an exceptional vocational training program based in Hāna, Maui, located on the remote east side of the island. As a nonprofit organization, we focus on providing K-12 youth and graduates of our programs with valuable skills and knowledge that prepares them for a successful future. With an emphasis on hands-on learning, we incorporate real-life applications into academic subjects, making education practical and relatable for our students.

Our approach allows students to grasp concepts through tangible examples while simultaneously addressing real school and community needs. By engaging with projects that serve our community, our students gain a sense of self-sustenance, develop meaningful relationships, and strengthen their cultural connections. We are proud of our comprehensive learning continuum, which empowers students to grow into caretakers of our community.

Starting as apprentices, they progress to become graduate apprentices, graduate teachers, and even staff members, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge along the way.
