## Description

Hanzazuke Cafe was an open workspace for electronics projects, operated by Switch Science on the third floor of Arts Chiyoda 3331 in Akihabara, Tokyo. It provided tools and a place for people to build, experiment, and work with electronic components. The cafe welcomed a broad range of visitors, from complete beginners who had never lit an LED to artists creating interactive works with electronic circuits and experienced makers who designed their own circuit boards. Visitors could solder components they had purchased, work on personal projects, and exchange ideas or casual conversation with others in the space. Rather than serving only as a workshop for specialists, Hanzazuke Cafe offered an approachable setting where people with different levels of experience could meet through a shared interest in electronics. The venue’s focus was on providing access to a practical workspace and fostering informal interaction among makers. Hanzazuke Cafe closed on October 10, 2016, and is no longer operating.
