## Description

HANDICAP Zakopane is a Polish foundation dedicated to inclusion through sport, supporting children, young people and adults with disabilities since 2014. Based in Zakopane, it welcomes participants from the Podhale region and elsewhere in Poland, adapting activities to individual abilities and needs. The foundation sees sport as a path to rehabilitation, social connection, confidence and greater independence, and provides opportunities for both beginners and competitive athletes.

Its year-round programme includes alpine skiing, seasonal athletics training and inclusive sports camps. Athletics coaching covers sprints, middle-distance running, long jump, shot put and javelin, while camps offer activities such as swimming, table tennis, kayaking, bocce, frame running and team sports. HANDICAP Zakopane also organises competitions, sporting events and trips, and prepares athletes for regional, national and international competition. Participants receive coaching, access to equipment and support from an experienced team of trainers. The foundation celebrates personal progress as well as sporting achievements, including medals and championship titles. Donations help fund training, sports facilities and travel to competitions.
