## Description

The Handmade Network is a community of programmers who value understanding how software and computers work at a low level. Inspired by Handmade Hero, its members enjoy building software by hand, reinventing familiar tools, and creating lean, high-quality programs in contrast to what they see as industry bloat and waste. The network provides a place to discover and share community-made projects, exchange ideas in forums and Discord, and take part in programming jams and other events. Its resources include a manifesto, community values, rules, and information about the Handmade Foundation and membership. The organization also highlights work by its members, spanning compilers, linkers, image viewers, video editors, and other software. Recent initiatives include Beta Week, a focused event where project authors and volunteer testers collaborate to use, test, and improve community projects. Through project showcases, discussion, and collaborative events, the Handmade Network supports programmers who care about craft, technical understanding, and making capable, thoughtfully designed software.
