## Description

Handmade Gardens PDX is a Portland, Oregon-based garden education and land-care business led by Rachel Freifelder. It focuses on human-powered, organic approaches to cultivating edible, medicinal, and native gardens, with an emphasis on regenerative homestead education and ecological stewardship. The business offers garden coaching and design, helping clients plan and care for gardens suited to their needs and surroundings. Its classes include the Year-Round Harvest Course, which teaches participants to grow and gather produce across the seasons, as well as sessions on topics such as winterizing gardens and food security. Handmade Gardens also provides organic land care and shares resources related to native plants, ecology, recipes, and garden stewardship. Its offerings include garden tours and free work-and-learn gatherings, alongside mailing-list updates with practical garden tips and information about upcoming events. The business serves the Portland community and notes that services are available in Spanish. Through education, hands-on support, and thoughtful garden design, Handmade Gardens helps people build productive, ecologically minded spaces for food, medicine, and native plants.
