Happy Valley Animation Festival (HVAF) is an annual event that celebrates the art of animation. Now in its third year, HVAF showcases a diverse range of animated works across various categories, including Animated Short Films, Experimental Animation, and Animated Motion Graphics & Design. The festival is held in State College, PA, also known as Happy Valley, and features both open and student category award winners, as well as official selections. The festival kicks off with the Animation Showcase on March 29, 2023, at the Flex Theatre in the HUB Robeson Center. This event offers a public screening of the HVAF 2023 award-winning animations and official selections in the international open and international student categories. Attendance is free and open to everyone. Following the showcase, the HVAF Official Selection Screenings take place on April 1, 4, and 5, 2023, at the Palmer Museum of Art Auditorium. These screenings feature the official selections in the international open and international student animation categories. Like the showcase, these screenings are free and open to the public.
