## Description

Haras de la Fresnay is an equestrian centre and owner’s stable in Houdan, Yvelines, France. Guided by a strong respect for horses, the Haras promotes an alternative approach in which horses are treated as partners rather than tools. Its practices take account of their natural needs, including group turnout, suitable forage and feed, preventive and complementary care, and individually adapted work. The centre holds the Fédération Française d’Équitation’s Animal Welfare Quality label, as well as French riding school, pony club and horse club quality labels.

For riders, Haras de la Fresnay offers riding lessons in small groups, equestrian stages, competition coaching and training. Its services also include horse boarding, half-board and third-board arrangements, designed to encourage a closer relationship and greater responsibility. The Haras lists mediation and equitherapy among its activities, alongside equicoaching. Facilities include stables, paddocks, pastures, two outdoor arenas, an indoor arena and a walker. Haras de la Fresnay welcomes riders and horse owners seeking a thoughtful, welfare-focused equestrian setting.
