## Description

Harcos Nimród és kis barátai Lépteiért Alapítvány is a Hungarian nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting children who need development and rehabilitation. Founded around a family’s efforts to help Nimród, who experienced oxygen deprivation at birth and subsequent brain haemorrhages, the foundation aims to help children with similar challenges access treatments and ongoing support. Its work includes assisting rehabilitation programmes and helping families meet the costs associated with care. The organisation has supported children using an EMOST therapy device, a non-invasive, biofeedback-based device, and has acquired a second unit with support from the ProFilii Foundation. Where a patient’s condition and circumstances allow, treatments may also be arranged at home. The foundation seeks to make support available to more families and to complement other forms of treatment. People can contribute through bank transfers or by allocating one per cent of their Hungarian personal income tax to the organisation. It also raises funds through community initiatives, including collecting and sorting bottle caps, to help provide children with opportunities for development and greater independence.
