## Description

Carl-Hans Graf von Hardenberg Foundation is a charitable organization established in 1997 by Astrid Countess von Hardenberg in memory of her father. It supports the education and upbringing of young people in Märkisch-Oderland district and nearby areas, including communities across the German-Polish border. The foundation aims to strengthen young people’s social engagement and creative abilities, with particular attention to Christian-oriented institutions, organizations working with children and youth, and cross-border youth exchange.

Its support covers projects in prevention, participation and education, as well as initiatives that help young people explore historical ideas, individuals and their consequences. The foundation also assists individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford educational opportunities, helping them take part and broaden their perspectives. Organizations and eligible applicants can submit funding requests for youth projects; applications are accepted until March 1 of the current year. The foundation pursues charitable purposes exclusively and directly under Germany’s tax-privileged nonprofit framework. Its office is located in Lietzen, Brandenburg, and it also invites donations to support its work.
