## Description

The Harlow Stroke Support-Rehab Centre is a community organisation providing non-medical rehabilitation and practical support for stroke survivors, their carers and families. In a friendly environment, it offers information about strokes and their effects, helps people understand disabilities that may arise after a stroke, and can assist with referrals to other agencies. The centre also provides guidance on pension credit and benefit applications, form filling, and dealing with outside organisations, alongside support for families and carers.

Its regular programme includes chair-based exercise, speech and language support, social and rehabilitation sessions, and mental health support. A dedicated rehabilitation group is available for people under 65. Sessions run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with specific times listed by the centre.
