## Description

Hillsborough Harriers XC is a youth distance-running team serving boys and girls in grades 3 through 8 across the Tampa Bay area. A registered Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) club, it welcomes runners with a range of experience, from nationally fast competitors to children just beginning to run. The team offers cross-country training and racing, with coaching tailored to each child’s ability and a positive but challenging environment. Prospective members should enjoy running and bring a strong work ethic.

Regular practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Northdale area and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. around Westchase or Citrus Park. Optional sessions take place Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. at various locations. The season fee is $350 and includes club membership, a uniform, practices, and races. New runners can register for the cross-country season by emailing the club for information. Club directors Eddie and Veronica McDonald lead the organization; Eddie McDonald is head coach, supported by assistant coaches Rachel Galbraith, David Day, Kristin Greene, and Russell Destremps.
