## Description

Harry Potter and the Sacred Text is a unique podcast and community initiative that elevates the beloved Harry Potter series into a sacred lens, encouraging thoughtful engagement and connection. Founded by Casper ter Kuile and Vanessa Zoltan in 2015 at a Harvard-affiliated community center, the project began with intimate gatherings that explored the texts through spiritual practices learned at Harvard Divinity School. As interest grew, this transformative class evolved into a widely popular podcast, launching its first episode in May 2016.

The podcast celebrates the richness of the Harry Potter narrative while fostering an inclusive community, actively promoting anti-racism, gender diversity, and safe spaces for all listeners. With a dedicated team, including Professor Matt Potts and producer AJ Jaramaz, the show revisits all seven books, focusing on critical themes and offering fresh perspectives. Regular meet-ups and events continue to solidify the group's commitment to social justice and transformative dialogue, making Harry Potter and the Sacred Text a beacon for fans and seekers alike.
