## Description

Hartveilig Voorschoten is a community-focused foundation working to make Voorschoten safer in the event of cardiac arrest. Its mission is to help save lives by making high-quality resuscitation training accessible to everyone and strengthening the local six-minute response network. The organization connects AEDs with trained volunteer responders, supports AED registration and maintenance, and provides advice on purchasing and managing defibrillators. Its website reports a network of 55 AEDs registered with HartslagNu and hundreds of active citizen responders.

Hartveilig Voorschoten offers courses in adult resuscitation (BLS) and infant and child resuscitation (PBLS), with opportunities to practise and refresh skills at regular resuscitation cafés. It also provides information and educational activities, including school outreach, and guidance for people affected by resuscitation or choosing not to resuscitate. The foundation encourages residents and organizations to contribute, become volunteer responders, or support its work through donations. It is a resuscitation partner of the Dutch Heart Foundation, a HartslagNu partner, an NRR-recognized training centre, and a member of the National First Aid Association.
