## Description

The Harvey Awards are a hallmark of excellence in the comic book industry, established in 1988 to honor outstanding achievements across various categories. Named after the pioneering cartoonist Harvey Kurtzman, these awards have become one of the most prestigious recognitions in the field. Held annually during the New York Comic Con, the Harvey Awards celebrate remarkable works, including categories such as Book of the Year, Digital Book of the Year, Best Children and Young Adult Book, Best Manga, Best International Book, and Best Adaptation from Comic Book/Graphic Novel.

In addition to recognizing exemplary works, the Harvey Awards also include a Hall of Fame to honor legendary creators who have significantly impacted the medium, such as Akira Toriyama and Sergio Aragonés. Each year, nominations are opened to the public, allowing comic enthusiasts to participate in the voting process. The awards not only celebrate the art of storytelling through comics but also foster a community that cherishes and elevates the genre.
