# Hastings Historical Society - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `hastingshistoricalsociety.blogspot.com` ## Description The Hastings Historical Society documents and shares the history of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, helping residents and visitors understand the people, places, and events that have shaped the village. Through research, archival materials, historic objects, and public storytelling, the Society explores local heritage in an accessible way. Its work includes investigating questions about civic symbols and landmarks, such as the origins and changing designs of the village seal and the history of the bronze eagle at the Municipal Building. The Society also supports local education: its representatives visit schools to speak with students about Hastings history and encourage young people to consider the village’s development and future. Articles published by the organization present findings from historical research, explain the context behind local artifacts, and invite community members to contribute information and perspectives. The Society maintains a connection with the community through its cottage and its correspondence with residents and village officials. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 History _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idOyFbpyzh/w/649/h/121/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793260177795) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Antique Brass | #cc9966 | accent | | Midnight Blue | #003366 | dark | | Peach Cream | #ffeedd | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
