## Description

Hatten Hvam is a private activity and socialisation service in Gl. Hvam, near Aalestrup in Viborg Municipality, Denmark. Operating under sections 103 and 104 of Denmark’s Social Services Act, Hatten serves adults over 18 with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Its premises are in the former village school, which closed in 2005 and is rented from Viborg Municipality. The municipality approves and supervises the service, which welcomes participants from Viborg and Mariagerfjord municipalities and southern Himmerland.

Hatten aims to create a safe, enjoyable and engaging everyday environment. Its programme combines activities at the centre with outings and other events, supported by staff and shaped around daily life and shared experiences. Activities listed on its calendar include swimming, outdoor trips and horse riding, while seasonal projects such as making Halloween decorations also feature. The organisation shares updates, event information and photographs of everyday activities on its website. Hatten also provides information about its values and educational approach, staff, practical placements, available places and job opportunities.
