About

Description

Haus Appenzell in Zürich, operated by the Ernst Hohl-Kulturstiftung, serves as a captivating cultural showcase for the Appenzellerland and Toggenburg regions since 2006. Nestled within a magnificent Neo-Renaissance building, this establishment aims to transmit the rich, diverse, and surprising culture of the region, while also promoting international cultural exchange. One of their upcoming exhibitions, Hölzigi – von traditionell bis aktuell, will run from October 6, 2023, to April 27, 2024.

This exhibition will place a spotlight on wood, combining sculptures created by Ostschweizer artist Daniel Eggli with traditional Appenzeller Senntumsschnitzerei by Jakob Müller and Konrad Zülle. Beyond exhibitions, Haus Appenzell also unites art and craftsmanship, offering a unique space that encapsulates both traditional and contemporary cultural expressions. While they are currently on a seasonal break, they eagerly anticipate welcoming visitors again from October 6, 2023.
