## Description

Haus of Avani is a community-centered organization dedicated to nurturing people and the planet through nature, creativity, spirituality, and shared learning. Its name brings together “Haus,” a welcoming home for belonging and guidance, and “Avani,” a Sanskrit word meaning earth or soil. Guided by a commitment to conservation, ancestral wisdom, and community well-being, the organization aims to transform underused urban land into accessible places for gathering, education, nourishment, and personal growth.

Its flagship initiative, the Haus of Avani Campus, reimagines vacant lots as a connected ecosystem featuring a small chapel, native meadow, and Naturhus-inspired greenhouse. The campus supports native planting, local food growing, community meals, food distribution, and hands-on workshops where generations can learn together. Haus of Avani also envisions the Avani Village, with welcoming outdoor spaces, solar-powered phone charging, native flowers, and a community kitchen, connected through a wider network of gardens and neighbors.

Through worship opportunities, sustainable-living education, mutual aid, and community-led programs, Haus of Avani promotes environmental care, spiritual well-being, and practical support for families and the broader community.
