Hazen Paper Company, based in Holyoke, Massachusetts, has been a leading brand in the paper industry since its establishment in 1925 by John N. Hazen. Initially focused on decorative paper conversion and embossing, Hazen quickly grew and expanded into printing and foil laminating by the 1940s.

The second generation, represented by Ted Hazen and John's son, Bob Hazen, brought their passion and expertise to the company. This led to further expansion and specialization in foil and film lamination, gravure printing, specialty coating, and rotary embossing. Hazen Paper became renowned worldwide for its expertise in luxury packaging, security tickets, tags, labels, cards, covers, and photo and fine art mounting.

The third generation, led by John H. Hazen and Robert E. Hazen, continued to propel the company forward.

They placed a strong emphasis on coating, metallizing, and holographic technology. In 2005, Hazen established its holographic origination lab and design studio in Holyoke, pioneering unique technology for creating holograms and obtaining registered copyrights and patents for their innovative holographic designs and processes. Hazen's commitment to growth and innovation led to the establishment of satellite plants and expansion of its holographic lab and manufacturing facilities.

Despite facing challenges during the Great Recession, Hazen persevered and emerged as a global leader in holography, earning international recognition and prestigious awards. As a family-owned and operated company, Hazen continues to invest in its future, expanding its plant and equipment in Holyoke.
