## Description

HBH is a non-profit community focused on making security knowledge accessible and helping people understand how malicious hackers compromise systems and information. Founded in 2003, it combines hands-on learning with open information sharing to teach practical ways to protect systems and improve security practices. Its resources include more than 152 simulated challenges and virtual machine-based labs featuring real-world vulnerabilities, where members can develop and test their skills. The community also offers forums and articles for discussion and learning, a code bank for sharing snippets and receiving feedback, and team features for individuals, friends, companies, universities, and hackerspaces to collaborate or compete. HBH’s planned Academy provides structured, step-by-step learning paths for specific skills, with courses currently in development. The organization aims to keep individuals and teams informed about evolving cybersecurity methods and best practices. Supported by its community, advertisers, and sponsors, HBH reinvests funds raised into the project and publicly lists its income and outgoings. Its mission is to promote security, privacy, and knowledge for everyone, regardless of age or location.
