About

Description

The Hillsborough County Anti-Drug Alliance (HCADA) is a brand dedicated to creating a drug-free community in Tampa, FL. Founded in 1989, HCADA has been actively involved in the community and has been a strong supporter of law enforcement, the court system, prevention agencies, and substance abuse treatment providers. In 2003, HCADA restructured as a 501(c)(3) organization, allowing it to apply for grant funding and expand its community-based alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse education and prevention activities.

HCADA's work is carried out through various task forces, which address important issues such as alcohol use on college campuses, underage drinking and impaired driving prevention, smoking prevention, and support for tobacco-free clubs in schools. They also actively oppose the legalization of marijuana and support the Drug Enforcement Agency's Drug Take Back Days by providing volunteers. HCADA welcomes all interested individuals to join their open membership and participate in their initiatives.

With their focus on sharing information and new ideas, HCADA continues to provide a public forum for community engagement
