## Description

The Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation (HCRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting innovative cancer research at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Inspired by Hippocrates, the foundation aims to help eliminate cancer and save lives by funding the discovery, development, and implementation of effective new therapies. Its funding empowers investigators to pursue urgent questions in cancer biology and oncology through unconventional, high-potential research, with the goal of translating new knowledge into improved treatments for patients.

HCRF invites individuals and organizations to support its mission through donations and participation in fundraising events, including its annual Wings to Cure Gala. The foundation also shares research news and hosts educational opportunities, such as Cancer Talks with Dr. Leonidas Platanias, where audiences can hear about advances in cancer treatment and ask experts questions. Through these activities, HCRF connects donors, researchers, physicians, and the wider community in support of progress at the Lurie Cancer Center.
