HealthConnect One is a nationwide leader in community birth worker training, research, and advocacy. They are dedicated to supporting healthy pregnancies, births, and breastfeeding in Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. With a focus on advancing reproductive justice and birth equity, they aim to undo years of disinvestment and connect communities to their own strengths and skills.

Their initiatives include training programs for perinatal community health workers, community-based doulas, and breastfeeding & lactation peer counselors. They also partner with community health workers to advocate for issues that advance maternal and child health, educate legislators, and promote birth equity. HealthConnect One collaborates with leading research institutions to facilitate community-based research that improves maternal-child health outcomes.

In addition to their work, HealthConnect One has partnered with various organizations across the country, such as Open Arms Perinatal Services, Tewa Women United, and the African American Breastfeeding Network, to implement community-based doula programs and provide support during pregnancy and early parenting.
