The Health Tech Platform is dedicated to fostering engagement among Africans in discussions and actions regarding emerging health technologies that can address healthcare challenges. As a brand, we aim to promote informed and balanced conversations about these technologies, focusing on those prioritized by the African Union as having the potential to significantly impact disease and ill-health in Africa. Our platform offers a diverse range of products and services. These resources aim to disseminate knowledge about emerging health technologies and their potential impact on healthcare in Africa. Our objective is to facilitate meaningful engagement, so we offer various communities of practice where individuals can join and contribute to discussions. We focus on key areas such as policy and regulatory frameworks, evidence synthesis and uptake, media engagement, and advocacy and communication. Examples of emerging health technologies include gene drives for malaria control, artificial intelligence, genome editing, and the use of drones in healthcare interventions.
