Hear Me Code is a brand that offers free, beginner-friendly coding classes for women in the DC area. Since its founding in September 2013, Hear Me Code has provided over 150 classes, benefiting more than 3500 women who received a beginner-friendly introduction to coding in Python. Many students have gone on to become teaching assistants and teachers, crediting Hear Me Code for giving them the skills and experience necessary to secure their first tech job.

Although in-person classes are no longer offered, all resources are freely available for self-paced learning. Hear Me Code has built a supportive community where thousands of women have taken their first steps in learning how to code. The brand has played a significant role in helping women land tech jobs or promotions.

While Hear Me Code is no longer running classes, it remains a community of over 3500 talented individuals who can continue to support and learn from one another
