## Description

The Heart Cells Foundation is a UK registered charity dedicated to advancing adult stem-cell research and compassionate treatment for people with heart failure and other heart disease. Its work focuses on using a patient’s own adult stem cells to support heart repair and developing this approach through clinical research. The Foundation funds final-stage clinical trials and a Compassionate Treatment Programme, with treatment delivered at the Compassionate Centre at Barts Heart Centre. It aims to help patients access cell therapies, create a new field of medicine, and ensure beneficial advances become available as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. The charity relies on individual and corporate donations to support its research and patient programmes. It also raises awareness through patient stories, videos, newsletters and media coverage, and builds community support through events such as its annual golf day and charity running opportunities. The Foundation’s stated mission is simple: treating patients and saving lives.
