## Description

The Heart Foundation is dedicated to a future free of heart disease, advocating for healthier lifestyles through walking. Since its inception in 1995, Heart Foundation Walking has evolved into one of Australia’s largest free walking initiatives, encouraging individuals across the nation to engage in active living for improved heart health. With over 350,000 participants and more than 1,000 committed volunteer walk organizers leading the movement, the foundation fosters a supportive community of 'red striders' who walk together to enhance their well-being.

The Heart Foundation focuses on several key areas: increasing public awareness of walking benefits, providing resources for health professionals, and empowering local communities to initiate walking programs. They aim to improve built environments to promote safe walking conditions. Supported by the Australian Government and various partners, the foundation encourages donations and fundraising to support cardiovascular disease research and community activities. Through their efforts, they inspire Australians to make walking a part of their daily lives, working toward a healthier future for all.
