Established in 2000, HeartGift started its mission in Austin, Texas and has since expanded its reach with chapters in multiple cities, serving patients in the United States, Africa, Asia, and South America. Thanks to their partnerships with children's hospitals globally and the support of generous sponsors, HeartGift has successfully provided life-saving care to over 800 children from 35 different countries, without any cost to their families.

Unfortunately, over 90% of the one million children born with congenital heart defects each year do not have access to adequate medical care.
