Heart of Asia Society (HAS) is an independent think tank dedicated to fostering cooperation and stability in Afghanistan and the Heart of Asia region. By promoting connectivity and building confidence, HAS aims to contribute to shared prosperity in the region. The Heart of Asia region encompasses Afghanistan and its neighboring countries from South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
Through research, dialogue, and policy analysis, HAS works towards safeguarding the rights of all ethnicities and religions, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and agency for Afghan citizens. HAS has strategic goals centered around knowledge creation, confidence-building, increased contacts and interactions, policy advocacy, and serving as a resource center for regional cooperation. Through research, analysis, and dialogues, HAS promotes innovative thinking, academic cooperation, and deeper understanding among the people of the region.
