## Description

Kathrin Petzold is a midwife based in Eckernförde, supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth preparation and the first months with a newborn. A qualified midwife since 2009, she also trained as a Kangatraining instructor and babywearing consultant, bringing these skills into her care. During pregnancy, she offers guidance on topics such as nutrition, exercise, birth choices, preparation for labour, breastfeeding, newborn care and babywearing. Her postpartum care begins after discharge from the birth clinic and includes regular home visits, support with infant care and feeding, monitoring recovery and wound healing, and initial exercises for the pelvic floor. Further consultations are available on breastfeeding, introducing complementary foods and weaning. Petzold also runs birth preparation courses covering pregnancy changes, labour, breathing, birth positions, relaxation, massage, newborn care and breastfeeding. Her postnatal recovery classes strengthen the back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, with options to attend with or without a baby. Kangatraining offers mothers a way to exercise together with their babies.
