## Description

Heidrun Meadery is a California producer specializing in naturally sparkling mead, a wine made from honey rather than grapes. Since 1997, the meadery has crafted varietal honey wines using the traditional French Methode Champenoise. Its meads are described as light, dry, delicate and refreshing, with aromas and flavors shaped by the distinct floral character of each honey. The collection offers a champagne-style experience for modern wine drinkers, alongside grape wine and honey-related merchandise.

Based in Point Reyes Station, Heidrun Meadery has transformed a former dairy farm into a destination featuring pastures, gardens and a greenhouse cultivated to provide year-round forage for its honey bee colonies. Visitors can enjoy tastings at the tasting room, open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with reservations and visit details available through the website. The business also hosts events, offers private event options and runs Club Mead for enthusiasts. Its work includes exploring honey varieties and beekeeping communities around the world, sharing those discoveries through sparkling honey wines.
