## Description

Heiva i Kauaʻi is a nonprofit event dedicated to celebrating and supporting Tahitian and broader Polynesian art and culture. It brings the community together for a lively, culturally rich competition featuring Tahitian dance and drumming. The event welcomes visitors to experience performances and celebrate Polynesian traditions in a community setting.

The 2026 event is scheduled for August 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Kapaʻa Beach Park on Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi. The organization shares event information, including program details, guidelines, and competition winners, and invites people to volunteer and attend.

Professionally filmed footage of the entire event is available for purchase from Kanaka Nowelo, which donates its filming time to support cultural arts. Short clips are also shared throughout the year. Visitors can view event photos, follow Heiva i Kauaʻi on Instagram, or contact the organizers by email with questions and inquiries. Through its competition and community activities, Heiva i Kauaʻi offers a welcoming way to engage with Tahitian dance, drumming, and Polynesian cultural expression.
