## Description

Hellbender Press is the Environmental Journal of Southern Appalachia, offering insightful coverage on pressing ecological issues through the foundation of the Global Sustainability's Living Sustainably program. This digital news service is dedicated to promoting awareness and action regarding environmental challenges facing the Southern Appalachian region, from climate change and extreme weather events to local sustainability initiatives.

The journal features a variety of articles, including in-depth analyses by climate scientists, such as explorations of hurricane patterns influenced by climate change. It also highlights community efforts, such as the Bruderhof community's work on sustainable farming tools, and the protection of endangered species like the Berry Cave salamander. By providing a platform for stories that connect local communities with broader environmental concerns, Hellbender Press aims to inspire readers to take actionable steps towards sustainability and conservation. Whether through news articles, action alerts, or environmental education, Hellbender Press plays a vital role in fostering a more sustainable future for the region and beyond.
