## Description

Stichting Naast is a Dutch organization dedicated to supporting people whose loved ones have an addiction. Established in 2005, it works to strengthen the place of family members and other close contacts within mental health care and improve cooperation among the parties involved. Its website offers information and practical guidance for people supporting a child, parent, partner, sibling, friend, grandchild, colleague, or employee affected by addiction. Topics include alcohol, gambling, drugs, medication, and behavioral addictions, as well as treatment, recovery, interventions, and crisis situations. Stichting Naast provides workshops on understanding one’s role as a relative, setting boundaries, letting go, recovery, and responding to gambling problems. It also offers individual support, telephone advice, information meetings, and signposting to nationwide assistance. Articles, personal stories, tips, book and film recommendations, and a newsletter provide further resources. The organization also arranges lectures and presentations and works with partner organizations. Through its services, Stichting Naast aims to help relatives gain insight, find practical ways to cope, and feel supported while navigating the effects of addiction.
