## Description

The John Hemmings Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Casa Grande, Arizona, serving residents of Pinal County. Established in memory of local banking leader and community advocate John Hemmings, the foundation works to support people affected by cancer and advance efforts to research, treat, and cure the disease. It raises funds and donates to eligible organizations involved in cancer research, treatment, and related care, including end-of-life palliative care. The foundation also provides direct financial assistance to local cancer patients who cannot afford care and are unable to obtain government support. Assistance may help with treatment costs, living expenses, transportation, meals, or palliative care. Its community programs have included support for smoking cessation and meal services for people undergoing chemotherapy or radiation. The foundation’s fundraising includes an annual purse auction, alongside other events and donation opportunities. Guided by its local mission, the organization aims to offer practical help and compassionate support to patients and families facing difficult circumstances.
